Identifying target candidates for acquisition

Our client, a top-tier player of the Integral Logistics sector in Spain, sought to enter the French market to increase its sales by following its Spanish customers with business operations in France and offering services to French companies, acting as a local supplier.

The purpose of the project was to assist our client in identifying target candidates for acquisition and support them during the acquisition, due diligence and integration process.

Market analysis to understand market metrics

In order to do so, we conducted market analysis to understand market metrics, held interviews with market players to develop an insider perspective of the market, defined and validated a Long List of candidates which we then prioritized based on business criteria defined with our client, contacted the candidates on the Short List to initiate the acquisition process and built a business case for the acquisition.

Based on a short list of 5 target candidates, one was finally acquired and successfully integrated. TwinPikes was very active in the negotiation with candidates providing support throughout the process.
