From individual service managers to one integrated solution
Our client, a leading global pharmaceutical company based in Germany had developed a new CSR governance vision, policy, standards and objectives at their HQ which was to transpire throughout their organisation and ways of working worldwide.
They requested TwinPikes to help them deploy the new policies in their Spanish operations, ensuring the evolution “from individual service managers to one integrated solution” and centralizing communications in a single contact point. Thus, the purpose of the project was to transform the organisation and processes in Spain to adapt to the new parameters, identify synergies and improvement opportunities while maintaining service level standards.
Designing new processes in the Spanish sites
In order to do so, we worked alongside Top and Middle Management to analyse the corporate requirements, competitiveness of the Spanish plants and sites as well as the culture at the Spanish operations to design new organisations, functions, responsibilities, reporting lines, communication flows, resources and processes in line with the corporate CSR codes.
The project granted a clearer visibility from a global perspective over cost structure, drivers and volumes which helped focus the effort on strategic areas and centralize purchasing operations to leverage on negotiating power, resulting in the Spanish plants gaining a position among the most efficient production countries.
