Standardizing Promotion and Advertising types
Our client, a global retailer with operations in more than 60 countries, had a decentralized and non-standardised process to manage Advertising and Promotions income in all its locations, using different tools. This situation resulted in a lack of control over the generated income and collection of the debt, which impacted directly on the company’s cashflow.
The purpose of the project was to define a centralized end-to-end process to manage all Advertising and Promotions income throughout the Group to maximize the overall cash flow by standardizing Promotion and Advertising types, tools and invoicing frequencies.
Defining and implementing new optimized systems
Our methodology was to analyse the AS IS situation to understand the existing process in depth, followed by a definition of an improved, automated and optimized TO BE process end-to-end. Finally, our team developed a roll-out plan to implement the new process and systems.
The Group has now a global and standardized process which allows for full control and visibility of the Advertising and Promotions worldwide and the income they generate, which resulted in a significant reduction of the overdue debt.
